    About Us:

Linda Waggoner established Wagg’nPurr Pet Sitters in 2007 to provide service to other animal lovers who need in-home care for their pets. She built a loyal following of clients by providing exceptional care for pets  while their parents are away at work or on vacation. When Linda retired from the business in May 2010, she transferred ownership to Joanna and Joe Ternus, who continue the tradition of dedicated pet care.

Joanna and Joe Ternus, both native Austinites, moved to Round Rock in 1997. Joanna began working at Great Oaks Animal Hospital in December 2000 to pursue a career nurturing pets and assisting the family that loves them. She concluded her time with Great Oaks in May 2010 to devote her full attention to Wagg’nPurr Pet Sitters. Joe is an Operations Senior Representative for DataQuick in Pflugerville, TX, but is very involved in the day-to-day operations of the business as well as providing occasional pet care.  Both Joanna and Joe are Pet First Aid and CPR certified.

Joanna and Joe are proud parents of a 5-year-old daughter and enjoy sharing their love for pets with her. They also are the parents of two dogs, Roux (Redbone Coonhound) and Wilbur (Rat Terrier) and Bumble the crazy cat.

    Our Sitters:

Stacey, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, moved to Round Rock in 2009. This mid-west girl has been a devoted animal lover since childhood. Her parents noticed a unique connection with animals at a very early age. After several years as a veterinary receptionist and veterinarian assistant, she successfully operated her own pet sitting service in Kansas City while volunteering for multiple animal welfare organizations over the years.  Currently, Stacey is a volunteer with Shadow Cats Rescue of Round Rock and is a member of the ASPCA.

Stacey resides with her husband Jeremy, who is a Civil Engineer, daughter Elizabeth, and 4 ridiculously spoiled cats (Lionel, Lucy, Greyson, and Bunny). After the loss of their beloved chocolate lab, they are planning to adopt a shelter dog again one day.

Stacey looks forward to providing your pets with the exceptional care they deserve!

After living in Hawaii for 2 years, Marianne moved to Texas in 2008. She grew up on the West Coast with several dogs including mixed breeds, a Bichon Frise, Labs and Mastiffs. After moving to Austin, she volunteered at the Town Lake Animal Shelter, where she adopted Cash – and two years later, Lucy and Nico.

When not taking care of her furry friends, Marianne works as an Senior Project Manager for a consulting company. She holds an Accounting and Finance Degree from CSU Long Beach.

Morgan is a native Austinite who recently returned. With a passion for animals and helping children, she made the choice early on to become a child psychologist and completed her bachelors at Texas Tech University and her masters in counseling at UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in psychology from Texas A&M University.

Morgan has a passion for working with children who have experienced trauma or medical conditions that have altered the course of their lives. Her passion for working with children and animals has come together through working with therapy dogs to help children cope and recover. Through this she has seen firsthand the healing power animals have. She hopes to make a therapy dog part of her family one day. Currently she is the proud parent of Kali (Shiba Inu Mix), and Princess (Cattle Dog Mutt).

Raised in Austin, Cynthia is a life-long Longhorn. She received her degree in nursing from The University of Texas in 1982 – so she’s got experience caring for both two and four-legged loved ones! Cynthia moved to Round Rock ten years ago, but has worked all over Travis and surrounding counties and has also traveled over the pond.

She has owned or cared for shelter dogs and service dogs of all shapes and sizes, from Bull Mastiffs to Bichons. While primarily a "dog person", she's had under her roof everything from cats to birds and fish.

When she's not out providing TLC to our customer's pets, she can be found caring for her own zoo, a St. Bernard, two Olde English Bulldogs, a teenage son and three grandchildren.

We are proud to have Cynthia provide excellent service to our friends in the southeast Round Rock area.

Beth moved from San Diego to Round Rock in 2007 with her husband and two kitties. A couple years later, two Great Pyrenees rescues became part of their family. Beth has volunteered her time at various animal rescue organizations, and loves all animals, large and small. In her spare time, she is pursuing her Texas Court Reporting Certification. Beth will love and care for your pet as if they were her own.
